ICO Glaze
Protecting concrete surfaces is what we do best Product Description
On new block walls, ICO Glaze is normally applied in three steps: a primer coat, a base coat to seal the pores, and then a top coat for optimal protection. No block fillers are necessary, nor are any glass fibers or other such elements needed for sealing the surface. On concrete surfaces, bugholes must first be filled with ICO Gel epoxy vertical crack filler prior to applying two top coats of ICO Glaze. Previously painted walls should be stripped of old coatings prior to application unless these old coatings are well-bonded epoxies. ICO Glaze comes with several options. The top coat can be ordered with an anti-microbial additive that helps prevent bacteria and fungicides from forming. For smoothing out old, worn walls or for filling joints, our ICO Glaze ES system, incorporating ICO Gel, is recommended particularly for applications where hot washdown temperatures, generally from 160-212F, and/or high pressures are routinely used for sanitation. And for superior gloss retention and color stability, an optional 5 mil top coat of ICO Ure Guard 100 urethane coating is recommended. |
